On April 9, OpenAI split the ChatGPT Pro subscription into two distinct tiers. The $100/month tier provides GPT-5.5 Pro access with usage quotas approximately 5x that of ChatGPT Plus. The $200/month tier offers usage quotas approximately 20x Plus, supports a 1M token context window, includes 250 monthly Deep Research runs, and provides priority access to experimental features.
Both tiers include the GPT-5.5 Pro variant released on April 24. This model offers stronger performance on reasoning and coding tasks than standard GPT-5.5.
The ChatGPT Pro $100 tier offered a 10x Codex usage promotion from April 9 to May 31, after which the promotion ended and usage reverted to the standard 5x.
