Zhipu GLM-5.3 surfaces through ZCode page leak

On August 3, Zhipu's AI coding tool ZCode briefly hosted a ZCode for GLM-5.3 page for about an hour, and Microsoft Bing indexed the page title. The Java SDK repository simultaneously showed developer commits for glm-5.3 model adaptation and JSON Schema support, suggesting coding capability is a core selling point. The near-open leak was read by the market as an accidental derailment of the launch process, but also confirmed that GLM-5.3 has reached a deployable final stage.
The leak landed during a difficult moment for Zhipu. In July the stock fell sharply, retracing more than 66% from the June high and wiping out more than HKD 800 billion in market cap. During the same period, Alibaba released Qwen3.8-Max (2.4T parameters) and Moonshot released Kimi K3 (2.8T parameters), creating a parameter-scale upgrade wave among the top three Chinese models.
A recent Goldman Sachs research note raised the China LLM 2026 combined annualized recurring revenue (ARR) forecast from $10 billion to $13 billion, with Zhipu's full-year ARR forecast raised significantly. Market observers broadly see the GLM-5.3 launch timing and final capability as the key variable for Zhipu's second-half stock price.
