Zhipu officially launched the GLM-5.3 API in the early hours of August 19, 2026. The model is built on the same base as GLM-5.2, with all performance gains coming from post-training, focusing on complex coding, defensive cybersecurity, and long-horizon tasks.On the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, GLM-5.3 scored 60, putting it in the global frontier tier alongside Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol, and tied with Kimi K3 for first place among open-source models.On DeepSWE v1.1, GLM-5.3 jumped from 46.2 to 66.9, and Terminal-Bench 3.0 from 4.6 to 28.3. Cybersecurity capability on CyberGym reached 84.5%, up from 77.2% on GLM-5.2.API pricing is unchanged from GLM-5.2. GLM-5.3 has been integrated with ZCode and other coding platforms and is included in the GLM Coding Plan. Model weights will be open-sourced on August 28.
