SpaceXAI releases Grok Voice 3.0 voice model on October 14 at $0.08 per minute, deployed in Starlink customer support

SpaceXAI, the parent of xAI, released the Grok Voice 3.0 voice model on October 14 at the same $0.08 per minute price as its predecessor, deployed for Tesla vehicle voice interactions and Starlink customer support where it handles around 20,000 multilingual calls a day and resolves roughly 70% without human intervention.

SpaceXAI, the parent of Elon Musk's xAI, officially released the Grok Voice 3.0 voice model on October 14 US Eastern time and made it available through the Voice Agent API at the same $0.08 per minute price as the previous generation. xAI said Grok Voice is already used for Tesla vehicle voice interactions and at SpaceX's Starlink customer support center, where it processes about 20,000 multilingual customer calls per day and resolves roughly 70% of them without human intervention. Grok Voice 3.0 is described as the most intelligent speech-to-speech model in the world, responding to customers in under one second at a cost below other frontier models. Independent AI evaluation platform Artificial Analysis tested the model and awarded it 86.9 points on its speech-to-speech index, the highest score and ahead of OpenAI's GPT-Live-1 (Astra, medium) at 83.2 and Google's Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking at 82.6, with a 94.8% task success rate; user-preference ranking came third, and average first audio response time was 0.81 seconds, up from 0.70 seconds in the prior generation. SpaceXAI confirmed Grok Voice 2.0 is deprecated with migration to 3.0, and developers pointing to the grok-voice-latest alias were automatically moved to the new version with no code changes.
