xAI launches Grok Bot early beta for SuperGrok and Cursor Ultra subscribers

On Aug 22 xAI launched Grok Bot in early beta, persistent AI agents running 24/7 on dedicated cloud computers to complete multi-step tasks. Access is open to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers.

On August 22, xAI officially moved Grok Bot into an early beta. Grok Bot is composed of a set of persistent AI agents that run 24/7 on dedicated cloud computers, sign into enterprise tools, drive websites without dedicated APIs, process invoices, update customer records, reproduce software bugs and save demonstrated workflows as reusable routines. Multiple bots can coordinate and reuse each other's outputs.

Subscription entry points cover three tiers: SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium on desktop and iOS. Cursor single sign-on, team membership, privacy settings, team rules and Model Context Protocol policies are all inherited. Administrators manage access through the Cursor dashboard, with usage pooled for billing at the team level. During the current beta, audit views are not yet available and bots lack product-level spend caps and a customer-facing model picker; on-demand controls are account-level and model selection is managed by SpaceXAI.

Cursor co-founder Michael Truell posted on X the same day opening a small-cohort, in-person onboarding for San Francisco enterprises. Cohort size, pricing, contract terms and broader rollout timing were not disclosed. Cursor said the same day that SpaceX has completed its acquisition of the company. Truell's homepage describes him as building SpaceXAI, though neither announcement defines his formal role at xAI or Grok Bot.

On the enterprise side, most of the capabilities promised at the August 11 initial launch are now in place, but general enterprise availability still runs through a waitlist. Cursor's Grok Bot sales page continues to direct enterprise customers to that waitlist as of August 23.
