xAI launches Grok Bot Beta with persistent always-on AI agents
xAI launched Grok Bot Beta on Aug 23 as persistent AI teammates running 24/7 on their own cloud computers, executing multi-step tasks and learning user workflows.
On August 23, xAI released Grok Bot in early beta, providing persistent AI teammates that run 24/7 on their own cloud computers to complete multi-step tasks by signing into user tools. Grok Bot learns from user workflow patterns and collaborates with other bots in shared threads.
The beta is now available on desktop and iOS for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. xAI had previously expanded Grok Bot access to SuperGrok Plus, Cursor Pro+, and Cursor Teams subscribers, and is offering limited trial usage for all other users.
Grok Bot is a key integration move by xAI following SpaceX's all-stock acquisition of Anysphere, the parent company of Cursor. Cursor CEO Michael Truell will take a leadership role at SpaceXAI, with several co-founders integrating into Grok pretraining and machine learning leadership roles.
