Tencent on October 12 launches Penguin Microscope, a creation matching platform inside the WeChat ecosystem that directly connects AI creation demand with craftspeople and creators. The platform's tagline is tell us your need and we'll match the right creative partner. The platform is currently in an internal beta during the National Day holiday, with public access already opened but no formal full-release date announced. It is an AI creation service trade matching platform primarily serving two user groups: e-commerce sellers and short-video idea requesters who need product images and promotional videos, and creators with AI image generation and video editing skills. Craftspeople can apply through the Me-Set-Feedback channel and wait for review; demand side users pick a creation type under Find Service on the homepage and post requirements. Once matched, a three-way group (user, creator, platform) confirms requirements and pricing. After confirmation, payment and delivery plus settlement all happen inside the WeChat ecosystem. The platform also includes an AI assistant to help users refine their requirements.
