Stability AI closes $76M Series B with three major music labels
On August 25, Stability AI closed a $76M Series B with Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Music, EA and AMD Ventures.
On August 25, Stability AI announced a $76M Series B bringing total funding to $232M. The round includes Universal Music Group, Sony Music Group, Warner Music Group, Electronic Arts, AMD Ventures, and Pacific Alliance Ventures. Coatue, Greycroft, Kadmos Capital, Sean Parker, Eric Schmidt, and other existing investors participated.
Stability AI will deploy the capital toward expanding its creative-production product suite, deepening applied research, and growing its professional services arm. Coatue co-founder Thomas Laffont joined the board, joining James Cameron, Sean Parker, Dana Settle, and CEO Prem Akkaraju.
The funding follows co-development deals Stability AI signed with Universal Music, EA, and Warner Music between October and November 2025, and the launch of Stable Audio 3.0, a family of open-weight music models trained on fully licensed data. The round is being read as a turning point: from litigation adversaries to equity partners with major content rights holders.
