美国西南航空接入 ChatGPT 插件,可直接在对话内查询、选购航班
Southwest Airlines, OpenAI and AWS jointly launched a ChatGPT plugin that lets travelers search and book Southwest flights directly inside the conversation, with plans to expand into baggage, check-in and itinerary management.
On October 7, American Southwest Airlines, OpenAI and AWS jointly launched a ChatGPT plugin that lets travelers search and book Southwest flights directly inside the ChatGPT conversation window without leaving to an external site. The plugin integrates real-time Southwest fares, seats, flight status and basic baggage policy, and runs its backend transaction stack on AWS infrastructure.
The partnership is the latest step in bringing ChatGPT's plugin ecosystem to vertical travel use cases. OpenAI launched Plugin Extensions and the ChatGPT Marketplace at DevDay 2026, with 32 institutions on board at launch. The Southwest plugin also represents an early Agentic Commerce example combining OpenAI, AWS Bedrock and a major travel brand. AWS Bedrock already shipped Managed Agents preview in late September, providing enterprises with cloud agent infrastructure.
Southwest plans to expand plugin capabilities into baggage lookup, check-in, itinerary management and delay response, and to offer personalized recommendations for paid loyalty tiers.
