OpenCode makes $60 DeepSeek V4.1 Flash quota permanent under Operation Cheepseek Phase 2

OpenCode on September 25 launched Operation Cheepseek Phase 2, making its $60 DeepSeek V4.1 Flash quota on OpenCode Go permanent rather than a limited-time promotion.

On September 25, OpenCode announced Operation Cheepseek Phase 2, converting its limited-time $60 quota for DeepSeek V4.1 Flash on OpenCode Go into a permanent benefit. The quota had originally been lifted from $15 to $60 — a four-times increase — and was set to expire on September 20. The Go plan page now lists $60 for V4.1 Flash with the prior $15 limit crossed out.

DeepSeek’s latest V4.1 Flash is a 552-billion-parameter MoE model with 8 billion activated input-side parameters and 16 billion activated output-side parameters, built on a new Causal Encoder-Decoder architecture with native multimodal vision. Compared with the previous generation, V4.1 Flash cuts KV cache demand on HBM to a quarter and SSD demand to an eighth.

DeepSeek had already announced OpenCode as an official partner for full integration with V4.1 Flash. OpenCode platform data shows the model ranked first in recent usage as of September 25, accounting for roughly 13 percent of the two-million-level observations logged. Converting the time-boxed promotion into a permanent quota is effectively trading compute cost for developer mindshare — a noticeable draw for cost-sensitive individual developers and small testing teams.
