Full Claude Platform generally available on Google Cloud with Fast Mode Opus 5.5 at $8 per million input tokens
Anthropic announced the full Claude Platform is generally available on Google Cloud Vertex AI, including a Fast Mode inference tier with Claude Opus 5.5 Fast at $8 per million input tokens and $40 output, aimed at enterprises deploying across multiple clouds.
Anthropic announced on October 22 that the full Claude Platform is generally available on Google Cloud, having previously been offered on AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Azure. Multi-cloud availability is a key condition for enterprises seeking to avoid single-vendor dependency, particularly as cross-border compliance review tightens.
This release includes the Fast Mode inference tier, which had not previously been available on cloud platforms. Built on Claude Opus 5.5, it is priced at $8 per million input tokens and $40 per million output tokens, positioned for low-latency rather than lowest-cost use. Standard tiers cost less.
Anthropic did not disclose specific regional availability timelines or state whether Fast Mode is arriving concurrently on Bedrock and Azure. Pricing was published for the US region and may differ elsewhere.
