NVIDIA at OCP Global Summit on October 13 opens Vera Rubin AI factory designs and 400Gb/s USFP optical standard with Cisco

NVIDIA at OCP Global Summit on October 13 released Vera Rubin AI factory designs, grid resilience frameworks, and DSX open-source components, and with Cisco unveiled the 400Gb/s USFP pluggable optical standard, with Meta adopting Spectrum-6 and Google Falcon Transport supported on ConnectX-10.

NVIDIA at the OCP Global Summit 2026 in San Jose on October 13 released open Vera Rubin AI factory design specs, grid resilience frameworks, and DSX open-source components, and jointly with Cisco introduced the USFP pluggable optical standard. USFP delivers 400Gb/s per lane and scales to 12.8Tb/s per module, with 4x the bandwidth density of 200Gb/s optics, while preserving the deployment and maintenance advantages of pluggables. Meta announced adoption of NVIDIA Spectrum-6, and Google's Falcon Transport will be supported on ConnectX-10. The open designs cover full rack, network, and power infrastructure references for AI factories, letting hyperscale clouds and enterprise data centers replicate Vera Rubin deployments more quickly. NVIDIA also released open-source DSX components spanning network telemetry, power, and cooling control to make the AI factory a software-defined system that can be procured and operated independently.
