On August 25, global AI agent startup Liner announced a $36.1M Series C, roughly one year and ten months after its previous round. The funding reflects investor confidence in Liner's expansion from consumer AI into enterprise AI. LB Investment led, with InterVest, Atinum Investment, and CJ Investment participating in follow-on investments. New investors include KDB, KB Securities, Daishin Securities, STIC Ventures, and Helios Private Equity.
Liner scored 95.3 on OpenAI's SimpleQA Benchmark and outperformed GPT-4 in search-response generation, validating its proprietary technology. The company has over 14 million registered users across 220 countries. As of late July 2026, Liner ranked 30th globally in AI service web traffic on Similar Web, ahead of Poe, Mistral AI, and Glean.
Liner is the only South Korean AI startup featured on a16z's Top 100 GenAI Consumer Apps list for four consecutive editions since 2024. Its partnership with Saudi Arabian HUMAIN has delivered deep research-backed AI search for HUMAIN ONE, serving Saudi government ministries and major corporations.
