Google launches Gemini 3.1 Pro preview at $2/$12

Google launched the Gemini 3.1 Pro preview on February 19, its most capable model at the time with a 2M-token context window. Priced at $2 input and $12 output per million tokens under 200K context, it competes head-to-head with GPT-5.4; above 200K it moves to $4/$18. It leads on the hardest pure-reasoning tests, suited to deep research and very long-context work. The older gemini-3-pro-preview endpoint was deprecated by March 9.
