Google launches Flash-Lite and Flash Cyber alongside 3.6 Flash

Google released Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite ($0.30/$2.50 at 350 tokens/sec) and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber cybersecurity model on July 21.

Alongside Gemini 3.6 Flash on July 21, Google DeepMind launched two complementary models: Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber.

Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite targets high-throughput, low-latency workloads with output speeds up to 350 tokens per second. Pricing is $0.30 input and $2.50 output per 1M tokens, Google's lowest-cost API model. The model scores 54% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 and 72.2% on the long-context GDM-MRCR v2 benchmark.

Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber is a cybersecurity-specialized model fine-tuned from Gemini 3.5 Flash, focused on discovering, validating, and patching code vulnerabilities. Initially available only to government agencies and trusted partners through Google's CodeMender Agent, the model found 55 unique confirmed issues in V8 JavaScript engine testing, surpassing Gemini 3.5 Flash's 47 and Claude Opus 4.6's 36.
