Cursor released Composer 2.5 on May 18. This is Cursor's self-developed Agentic coding model, trained on Moonshot AI's open-source Kimi K2.5 checkpoint with 85% of compute allocated to additional training and reinforcement learning.
Composer 2.5 scores 69.3% on Terminal-Bench 2.0, 79.8% on SWE-Bench Multilingual, and 63.2% on CursorBench v3.1, scoring 62 on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index and ranking third behind Claude Opus 4.7 max and GPT-5.5 xhigh.
Pricing for Standard is $0.50 input and $2.50 output per 1M tokens; Fast is $3 input and $15 output per 1M tokens. Standard and Fast share the same intelligence level but Standard costs about one-sixth of Fast.
Composer 2.5 is only available in the Cursor IDE. Cursor Pro at $20/month includes $20 of Composer usage at the standard $0.07 per task rate, allowing approximately 285 tasks per month.
