Cursor launches shareable Cloud Agent Canvases and Environments API beta on Oct 16, with 300 repositories per environment

Anysphere's Cursor launched Cloud Agent Canvas team sharing and Environments API beta on Oct 16; each environment supports up to 300 repositories with 5x faster large-environment loading.

On October 16, Anysphere's AI code editor Cursor announced in its official changelog that Cloud Agents can produce interactive Canvas views during a task and share them with team members via link. Canvas suits dashboards, audit reports, and visual analytics scenarios; teammates can view in browser in read-only mode without rerunning the Agent or searching chat history.

Canvas sharing requires Premium or higher subscription, Teams, Enterprise, or legacy Pro/Pro+/Ultra; free accounts cannot create share links and the privacy mode must permit data storage. Organization administrators can disable the feature organization-wide.

The Environments API Beta launched simultaneously allows teams to script the management of Cloud Agent environments: each environment contains up to 300 repositories and an environment.json configuration file. Cursor officially stated large environment loading is 5x faster, without providing comparison methodology details.

On X, Cursor said the API supports both personal and team-owned environments; ordinary members need access to all repositories to see team environments in listings, and team administrators can list all team environments but cannot list personal ones. PATCH configuration updates replace environment.json entirely rather than merge, and DELETE operations are irreversible.
