Anthropic releases Claude Haiku 4.5, its fastest and lowest-cost tier

Anthropic released Claude Haiku 4.5 on October 15, 2025, the fastest and lowest-cost tier in the Claude lineup, aimed at high-volume simple tasks. Compared with Opus and Sonnet, Haiku 4.5 offers the best value on basic formatting, quick lookups and large-scale repetitive work, suited to pipelines that need low latency over depth. It is available on all paid plans and via the Claude API and major cloud platforms.
