Amazon opens Seller Central APIs to outside AI agents on Bedrock at Accelerate 2026

Amazon announced on September 23 at its Accelerate conference that third-party sellers can run their stores through Anthropic Claude or Amazon Quick within Seller Assistant.

On September 23, Amazon announced at its annual Accelerate seller conference that it is opening Seller Central APIs to outside AI agents. Third-party sellers can use a new US beta plugin to manage inventory, pricing, listings, and analytics through Anthropic Claude or Amazon's own Quick assistant without needing to manually open Seller Central.

The Seller Assistant runs on Amazon Bedrock, combining Amazon Nova and Anthropic Claude. Amazon is bundling a 12-month free Quick Plus subscription for every primary account holder through December 31, 2026. Amazon said about 90% of sellers already use external AI tools to run parts of their operations.

Also announced the same day, Seller Assistant now includes continuously running workflows. Sellers can define persistent tasks such as alerts when ratings fall suddenly or monitoring the price of specified products. The workflows connect through plugins to AI tools the seller already uses, initially Amazon Quick and Anthropic Claude. The service is free and optional, and sellers decide how much personal information to share.
