Google Antigravity CLI v1.4.1 released Oct 17 with improved plugin validation and inline diff preview

Antigravity CLI v1.4.1 strengthens plugin validate checks for SKILL.md, agents, and rules, adds syntax-highlighted inline diff preview, and fixes Windows sandbox and MCP server status issues.

On October 17, the Google Antigravity team released CLI v1.4.1, two days after v1.4.0. The headline improvement is plugin validate, which now also checks skills, subagents, and rules: errors on SKILL.md with missing or invalid frontmatter; warns on missing name or description, name mismatch with folder, body over 24 KB, or skipped skills due to name collision; errors on agents/ Markdown files with invalid frontmatter or missing name/description, unparseable agent.json, or built-in agent name reservation; warns on duplicate agent names and other rule issues.

The inline diff preview is also improved, now rendering close to the /diff file view with syntax highlighting for the user color scheme, plus tinted background on added and removed lines picked from the terminal light/dark background, and an untinted line-number gutter. CPU usage is improved while typing and while the agent works by rendering the prompt area once per frame. Multiple socket disconnect errors (broken pipe, http2 client connection lost) that previously terminated Agent turns are now retried automatically.

Fixes include: Agent commands now start on Windows versions that do not support terminal sandbox (Windows 10 and Windows 11 pre-24H2), falling back to ask-before-run; MCP servers no longer show as Ready after unexpected process exit; large structured tool outputs (such as MCP JSON results) no longer bypass the per-step token limit; clickable links in agent responses with special characters in URLs now render correctly.
