Anthropic JV Ode acquires AI consultancy Casper Studios to accelerate Claude enterprise deployment
On August 20 Ode with Anthropic announced the acquisition of AI services firm Casper Studios, its first since launching in July.
On August 20, Ode, the enterprise AI joint venture set up by Anthropic with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street firms, announced the acquisition of AI services firm Casper Studios. This is Ode's first acquisition since its July 2026 launch. Deal terms were not disclosed.
Casper Studios helps companies deploy Anthropic's Claude inside the systems they already use, building skills, connectors, and context within Claude to drive AI impact across the organization. Casper has a dozen-plus AI engineering consultants and has served Netflix, PepsiCo, multiple PE firms, and hedge funds. The two companies have collaborated on shared clients like Sphera, finding that both build in the same Claude Code environment and can instantly pick up and use each other's tools.
Ode CEO Chris Taylor said in the release that CEOs have a long tail of AI engineering needs and require a partner who can help them fully realize what frontier AI can do to accelerate their business. Ode board member and global head of the Blackstone Operating Team Rodney Zemmel said very few firms can take a company from a single hard custom build to AI running throughout the business, and that is exactly what this combination does.
Ode's investors include General Atlantic, Leonard Green, Apollo Global Management, Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, and Sequoia Capital. The JV is positioned as a standalone operating entity within Anthropic engineering, with engineering and partnership resources embedded directly inside the Ode team.
