Anthropic opens Claude Cowork to all paid plans on web and mobile

On August 18, 2026, Anthropic announced that Claude Cowork is available on mobile and web across all paid plans, completing a rollout that began with its most expensive individual subscription. The product is now available to Pro ($20/month), Max ($100 and $200 tiers), and Team subscribers on web and mobile, while Enterprise users can access it when an administrator enables it.

Cowork lets users hand Claude tasks involving connected files, email, calendars, messaging apps, the web and other tools. Claude can continue working, request decisions, and hold completed work for review and approval. On web and mobile, Cowork's agent loop and code execution run on Anthropic's servers. Sessions and files are stored with the user's Claude account, allowing a task to move between desktop, web and mobile.

Anthropic said desktop remains the fullest version of Cowork. Local folders, local connectors, browser control and computer use from a web or mobile session still depend on the Claude Desktop app. Each Cowork cloud session is isolated in a temporary sandbox that is removed when the session ends. The sandbox cannot reach a user's home or corporate network by default, and connector credentials remain outside it.
