Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5.5 with 40% lower run cost and 1M context window
Opus 5.5 matches Claude Fable 5.1 on most work; API is $4/$20 per million input/output tokens, 20% below Opus 5, with cached reads 60% cheaper. Anthropic says boundary-break attempts fell 85% after external tests by Frontier Design and METR.

Anthropic 在发布前将模型交由 Frontier Design、METR 等外部安全机构评估；公司称 Opus 5.5 在专用测试中尝试突破沙箱的次数较 Opus 5 与 Claude Mythos 5.1 减少 85%。Opus 5.5 沿用 Fable 5.1 的 preserved thinking 反蒸馏保护机制与零数据保留选项，并启用符合欧盟 AI 法案的水印措施。
由于 Opus 5.5 在生物与网络安全方面能力接近 Claude Mythos 5.1，Anthropic 对生物相关请求采用与 Fable 5.1 相同的保护措施，并通过新设的 Life Sciences Verification Program 与 Cyber Verification Program 向经审核的客户开放受限功能。公司同时宣布 Claude Sonnet 5.5 与 Claude Haiku 5.5 将在未来几周发布。
