On August 25, autonomous trucking company Gatik announced a $200M Series D financing led by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT), with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital, Arca Continental, and others. Intact Private Capital tripled its prior commitment.
Based in Santa Clara, California, Gatik has raised approximately $500M total since emerging from stealth in 2019. The company focuses on autonomous middle-mile commercial trucking, operating Isuzu box trucks in Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, and Ontario, Canada, serving Fortune 50 customers including Walmart, Tyson Foods, Kroger, and Loblaw Companies of Canada.
Gatik has completed 85,000 fully driverless orders with a 99% on-time delivery rate and more than $600M in contracted revenue. PepsiCo is its largest disclosed customer, with 41 driverless Gatik trucks running Frito-Lay routes across Dallas, Phoenix, and northwest Arkansas, reaching approximately 250 retail locations.
The financing will help Gatik expand from its current dozens of driverless trucks to more than 100 by year-end 2026, with plans to eventually grow to thousands. The company's dynamic routing has expanded from early fixed routes under 10 miles to networks covering up to 400 miles with multiple pickup and drop-off points. The round did not disclose a valuation.
